Then the rains came.

This weekend the winds have brought massive amount of devastation including the spread of a fire from one of the local schools. For days the fire spread to the surrounding areas and the mountain above and beyond - pictured below under the heading view from my window.
All the emergencies services, including the air emergencies service, worked around the clock. This is a picture of one of the helicopters searching for remnants of the fire amongst residents as most of them have been evacuated. Then the rains came a day late but welcomed.

Lulu

Well that sorted out one of my Christmas present choices, my neighbour came up with a puppy at the weekend and told me she had a sister up for grabs, so subject to the usual parent permission (which was easy I just walked in with her in my arms) I have just settled her in. Her name is Lulu above is a photo - she is a Boxer and she is two months old.

Spanish Dogs

Roxey
Now is this dog cute or what!

School life

Junior school
Schools in Spain start at 8:45 and a lot of students take the bus, you can not have packed lunch so you either stay for school dinners or go home. Lunch break last 3 hours in Spain so if you do stay for school dinner you have a lot of play time in the play ground.

Before you start a new year you have to go and get a list of books and buy them.
Some schools give you a voucher with 50% off the books which judging by the look on my mums face in the past can be expensive.

Senor school
Starts at 0800 and finishes at 2 or 3 but you must continue your studies at home usual until the early evening.
